About Us

Rang de Storrs (RDS) is the University of Connecticut’s annual intercollegiate Raas-Garba competition and an official Raas All-Stars XVIII Bid Event for its second year in a row. Entirely student-run, RDS brings together eight of the nation’s top collegiate teams for a weekend of high-energy dance, cultural pride, and community celebration.

This year, the Wild West meets Raas. On February 28, 2026, eight teams will ride into Enfield High School for #TheFinalStandoff — a night of fierce competition, creative storytelling, and unforgettable showmanship. From our Mixer at the Ramada Windsor Locks to our After Party at The Webster in Hartford, RDS 2.0 promises to bring together the spirit of the frontier with the tradition of Raas.
